Geneva: Baloch Republican Party carried out a protest demonstration in Geneva against state atrocities and human rights abuses in Balochistan here on Friday.
“The protest demonstration was aimed to raise voice and to inform the United Nation and other Human rights organizations about Pakistani military operations, mass Human rights abuses and state atrocities in Balochistan, on this occasion of 35th session of United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva. “ BRP Swiss chapter president Sher Baz Bugti said in a statement released to the Media.
Mr Bugti said that Protesters were carrying banners and placards, reading various slogans against Pakistan aggressions in Balochistan, China’s interference in Balochistan and Baloch genocide. “ The objective of the protest is to raise awareness about Balochistan’s worsening situation and continuous, gross human rights abuses being committed by the Pakistani state forces” he said, adding that Baloch youth are being abducted and tortured to death under custody on daily basis.
In addition, he said that this how Pakistan uses such tactic to suppress the Baloch freedom struggle by force and violations, but unfortunately, United Nations silently watch Pakistan’s war crimes and Human Rights Abuses without doing or speaking anything about it.
He said that Party activists provided undeniable evidences to the United Nations and Human Rights workers about the Enforced disappearance, Kill and Dump of the Baloch political workers as well as of the ongoing Human Right abuses which clearly indicate the horrors of the state barbarism in Balochistan.
Sher Baz Bugti appealed Human rights organizations and the United Nations to take quick, effective and practical measures to prevent ongoing genocide of Baloch people and to notice of the military operations in Balochistan.
