Berlin: Balochistan: Baloch Republican Party held events across Balochistan and abroad on the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti. Baloch nationalist leader, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti, delivered an address on the occasion, as well.
Baloch Republican Party Central spokesman, Sher Mohammad Bugti, in a statement said that events were held on the martyrdom anniversary
of the father of the nation, Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, and richest tributes were paid by his people across the world.
He said that Baloch Republican Party Germany Chapter held a seminar in the remembrance of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti in Frankfurt, Germany.
Baloch Republican Party leader, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti, delivered an address to the seminar. Among other participants were the Party Germany zone President, Jawad Mohammad Baloch, a Pakistani journalist, Taha Siddique, Sufiyan Ayazi from the BRSO, Dr. Pervez Hudbai, Senior Baloch intellectual Siddique Azad, Ansul Saxena, General Sec. of BNM Germany Zone Mr. Asghar Baloch, Pashtun Intellectual Garam Ameer, BHRO Gen. Sec. Abdullah Abbas, PTM leader Safdar Khan, while the event was hosted by Mohammad Baloch, the General secretary of BRP Germany zone.
The event was followed by a two minutes silence for the martyrs. Mohammad Baloch addressed the participant while paying a richest tribute to Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, saying that he had fought for his nation in his 80s and proved himself to be the greatest leader of our time.
“Today, we have gathered here to pay tribute to a leader who laid down his life for the integrity, rights, and dignity of his people, teaching us how to stand against oppressors no matter how powerful” Mr. Faris said adding that not a single day gets passed without someone getting abducted or killed and dumped in Balochistan.
Chief of the Baloch Republican Party and Baloch nationalist leader, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti, delivered his address through Skype thanking the participants and paying the richest tribute to Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti on his 13th Martyrdom anniversary.
“There is good and bad in every person we meet. So is with me. But whatever good that is seen in my is from Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti. Every year on this day, we gather to remember him which adds strength to our national resolve. History witnesses every sacrifice being made by the Baloch in Balochistan and Pakistan’s failure to suppress them. Only by the sacrifices of our martyrs continues our movement” Nawab Bugti said.
He said that “we do not mourn this day but rather celebrate it, for it reminds us, the Baloch in Balochistan and abroad, how Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti founded this movement with his blood.”
Meanwhile, BRP Germany President Jawad Mohammad Baloch paid rich tribute to Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti while thanking everyone for participating in the seminar. He said reminds them of how Nawab Bugti sacrificed his life while fighting for his people in the mountains in an old age.
While, Mr. Taha Siddique delivered a strong address to the participants against the media blackout in Balochistan and the control of the Pakistani army over the media which, he said, causes gross violations of human rights to go unnoticed by the world.
He also shed light upon the hypocrisy of the biased Pakistani media for reporting on Kashmir while ignoring Balochistan. He also pointed out the existence of state created and nurtured death squads and Islamist terrorist groups in Balochistan in order to sabotage the peaceful struggle of the Baloch people for their rights.
BNM Germany Secretary General, Asghar Baloch, while addressing the participants, said that Balochistan situation worsening every passing day. Not only Baloch, but Sindhi and Pashtuns had also proven to by the victims of the Pakistani state atrocities.
Pakistani Human rights activists and scientists, Pervez Hudbhai, during the seminar raised concerns over the media black out in Balochistan and said that staying in Pakistan and working there had made him realize how the Baloch people were denied their basic human rights while their land Balochistan continues to be the richest land in Pakistan in terms of natural resources and how it was always exploited.
BHRO Secretary General, Abdullah Abbas, also addressed the seminar and said that “Everyone knows how the situation is in Balochistan. The whole province has become a “Black whole” for the media never being allowed to investigate or report the situation out there.
Media is only allowed to praise the so called economic project CPEC and propagate against the Baloch leaders for raising their voices for their rights”.
He said that in the 17th March, 2005, the dictator army general Pervez Musharraf had launched a huge military operation in Dera Bugti massacring hundreds of innocent Baloch people. Also ordering and approving a mighty military operation later on August 26th, 2006 against Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti where he was finally assassinated.
While, in 2009, Baloch leader Shaheed Ghulam Mohammad Baloch, Shaheed Lala Muneer and Shaheed Sher Mohammad Baloch were killed by the Pakistani army in addition to their atrocities in Balochistan.
After Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti’s martyrdom, the Pakistani army continues to commit gross human rights violations in Balochistan and the situation continues to worsen.
Indian social Media activist, Anshul Saxena, joined the seminar through Skype and said that living in Balochistan was a struggle of its own. He raised concerns over the mistreatment of Hindus living in Pakistan saying that more than 40 Hindu teenage girls were abducted and the establishment continues to show silence over the matter.
He said Pakistan was repeating what it had done in the 1970s in Bangladesh. Thousands of Baloch people including women, children, men, old and young have been abducted and disappeared by the Pakistan army.
Leader of the Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) had also joined the seminar and said that he disbelieves in the state-ship of Pakistan and rejects the claims by the Britisht that the Pashtun had voted in favor of creating Pakistan in the 1946 and termed it to be the biggest lie in history. He also acknowledged the sovereignty of Balochistan before the Pakistani occupation. He said, “We will unitedly get freedom from the occupying state of Pakistan.”
Former President of BRP Germany zone, Mr. Ashraf Sher jan, was also present in the seminar and paid his richest tributes to Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti on his struggle and sacrifices for the Baloch people and Balochistan.
Similar events were held in London, and Busan in South Korea to mark martyrdom anniversary of father of the nation. Were Baloch activists and BRP leaders gathered to pay homage Shaheed Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.
