Baloch Republican Party protests in London, Germany, demanded safe release of missing activists

London/Berlin: Baloch Republican Party central spokesman, Mr. Sher Mohammad Bugti, said in a statement that BRP held protest demonstrations in London and Germany.

The protest in Germany’s Chemnitz city was aimed at highlighting  the escalation of military operation and increased enforced disappearances in Balochistan in front of the entire world, he said.

“Enforced disappearances are once more escalating. College, university Baloch students and those who protest these inhuman atrocities are a specific target of this practice  by the armed forces of Pakistan.

Most recently, Jiyand Baloch, his brother and father were abducted. Similar incident was reported in Kech district, when a student named Dolat Khan was abducted while traveling back in home in Gorkop, Kech.” Mr. Bugti said.

In an address to the demonstration in Germany, BRP Germany Chapter Pres. Mr. Jawad Mohammad Baloch has said that minorities were being targeted not only in Balochistan but across Pakistan; Meanwhile, Baloch people had been facing Pakistan army’s wrath from the last 70 years.

Thousands of Baloch people detained by Pakistan army in the recent escalation in abductions in Balochistan, Mr. Baloch added.

Mr. Baloch further said that Baloch Republican Party will raise awareness at every possible forum and raise the plight of Baloch people including increased abductions, military operations and other atrocities by the state army.

While Mr. Sher Mohammad Bugti said that similarly demonstration was held 10 downing street in London to also protest enforced disappearances in Balochistan and stand in solidarity with the families of the victims. BRP will continue to raise voice against the illegal abductions in Balochistan at every forum. He added.

Meanwhile, Mr. Mansoor Baloch, central leader of BRP, has said while addressing the demonstration in London that human rights situation was worsening in Balochistan; our mothers and sisters have come out in the Quetta Press Club in this cold weather for their abducted loved ones.  Some of them have been abducted years back but their families are still kept unaware of their crimes.

He further said that “There is no law in Balochistan, the State agencies do as they please. They abducted whoever they want, ask for ransom or kill and dump them. Thousands of Baloch people have been victimized by this practice of the state agencies.”

It is appealed in the statement that the human rights organizations and the United Nations should intervene in the case of enforced disappearances in Balochistan and act according to legal laws to bring back those who have been illegally abducted and detained.
