BRP protests rights abuses in Balochistan on International day for human rights

Busan/Athens: Baloch Republican Party held protests in South Korea and Greece on the international day of human rights to highlight the HR situation in Balochistan

BRP Spokesmen, Mr. Sher Mohammad Bugti, in a statement said that Party activists carried out a protest demonstration in the Capital of Greece outside the Parliament to highlight human rights violations in Balochistan.

“A joint protest with Baloch Republican Student Organization was also held in the Busan, South Korea for the same cause. The protests are aimed at highlighting human rights violations in Balochistan in front of the international community” he said.

Mr. Bugti said that human rights violations were escalating on a daily basis in Balochistan, adding that “People from every walk of life are being targeted, Students in Particular, in order to push the Baloch in the darkness of ignorance”

More than a dozen Baloch students have been abducted for peacefully protesting for the release of their loved ones in Quetta, last month.

“The organizations that observe this international day for human rights are silent about the human rights situations in Balochistan which encourages Pakistan to commit more abuses” Mr. Bugti emphasised.

He urged human rights organizations to intervene in Balochistan, play their due role and save more lives from being lost and put an end to state atrocities in Balochistan.
